Why the World is Coming to an End!

Really? The world is ceasing to exist? I guess that depends who you are speaking to and from which side of the fence they are standing. These horrific times of sickness, mass shootings, protests, and war on many levels has really impacted the people of this universe and the universe itself. This is the muck side of the fence.

The Earth’s response to this uneasiness has resulted in storms, floods, and fires. It has been colder than ever towards the east and hotter than ever towards the west.
The most significant of these unwanted reactions has been earthquakes! Across the universe in 2026, multiple quakes in the 6.0-6.9 magnitude range occurred in places like Japan, the Philippines, Chile, and Alaska. The most devastating in Tonga at a magnitude 7.5, reported by USGS Earthquake (.gov).
Considering what has been happening on Earth can you blame it for these outbursts? And it should be no surprise why the Earth created a COVID pandemic that is still impacting us with post-vaccine traumas.
In my opinion, there are three reasons why the world is coming to an end:
1. Human beings are best at being oppositional. You know, potato -puh tah toe? If one says black, the other says, white. I am right so you are wrong.
2. Human beings, focus their energy on all things bad and what is wrong with YOU making ME feel bad, thus, giving momentum to shattering events.
3. Human beings spend their free time watching the news or following social media, internalizing everything they see and read and believing it with gusto!
Humans consistently prescribe to negative practices, then, instantaneously,
wonder why all these awful occurrences keep happening. Duh!
There are a few of us, who linger on the greener side of the fence, basking in the warm glow of the sun, sliding down that rainbow or what I like to call the “pot of gold mentality.”

Unfortunately, there are not enough of us to make a positive impact on our Earth, but not for a lack of trying. There are a few simple things that we do inherently to shift our mindset and change things for the betterment of our life here on Earth.
If you would like to experience this “pot of gold mentality” here are some mindfulness suggestions you can do to shift your behavior and actions:
Pay attention to how you feel. If you feel any emotion that is not filled with joy then you need to immediately do something to change it: Fun music, play a game, take a nap.
Post only positive comments. If you cannot stay off your phone feed, and can’t say something nice, then don’t say anything at all.
Change the channel. Don’t watch the news ever! The only important thing you need to know is that your friends and family are happy, safe, and healthy. Nothing else matters.
Laugh or smile daily. Laughter is the best medicine in keeping a healthy lifestyle.

These are simple ideas, but they can only work if you practice them. If you really want to change the world, it begins with the basics. Doing these mindful shifts everyday would be ideal. If not, do at least one of these strategies daily, then you will be on your way to making significant changes to our world.
We few, who play in the pot of gold of life, choose to focus on what is right with the world, no matter what situations hit us in the face or knock us down. Putting energy into anything negative or giving it attention only creates more tension, anxiety, and uneasiness. The world is reacting to your reactions. So, the next time you have a bad day, you probably might want to reflect on how your words, actions, and thoughts are ingested in muck.
So, those of you who say, “The world is coming to an end,” I respond with: You are right! And those of you who counter with: “The world is better than it’s ever been,” I must certainly agree. What is great about these two statements is that YOU get to decide which side of the fence you want to stand.
But wouldn’t it be nice to just reach for that pot of gold?
